Jim Croce was a wonderful entertainer and musician. He was warm both on and off stage. His
two musicians were the same. They seemed to be a family. I enjoyed watching his show and
talking to him backstage. He was a great loss, I feel he had a lot more to say.
Here is a
link to his official site.
*In 1972-3 I was
the artist relations person at the Valley Music Theatre, in
Woodland Hills, about twenty miles north of Hollywood. Jim Croce
opened the show and Woody Allen followed. Because Woody Allen
was so reclusive, I was able to spend more time with Jim and his
band. They were great people. I have one photo I took of Jim on
stage, and somewhere, I have a photo of Groucho Marx, Jim, his
band and myself as we were leaving the theatre.
