There are two 11" X 14" signed photos of Ray
Bolger and Judy Garland. One I gave to the Hollywood Wax Museum and the other
one is on my wall. He signed both of them for me when I visited him at his
home in Beverley Hills.
When I called on him he was in the studio behind
his house; we sat there for almost two hours talking about dancing. He was a
wonderful, caring man. He told me he enjoyed improve when he was dancing more
than the structured choreographed style. He, of course, did both beautifully. I
like to dance and was in agreement with him. He showed me a few of his favorite
steps. I use them today.
Recently I saw an 8" X 10" autographed photo of
Ray for sale on Ebay. The asking price was $2,200.00. It would take a lot more
than that amount for me to part with my photograph. I don't know what happened
to the one I gave to the Wax Museum.
