I met Merv Griffin with Tony Sandler and Ralph Young
when they appeared on his show. Also met Billy Graham in the green room
during the performance.
In 1974, I presented the Merv Griffin people with a concept that would pay tribute to Tay Garnett, a writer and director. They liked the idea and we did the show. I coordinated the guests for Tay, who gave me the names of actors he worked with, and I contacted them to appear on the show. I got Walter Pidgeon, Eve Arden, Lloyd Nolan and George Murphy to appear and pay tribute to Tay Garnett. I was with Tay at the show and met Merv again.
